Cultivating Community needs volunteers to meet its community food work goals. Volunteering can help you deepen your connection to the land and natural environment while providing greater food security for those in need—and you can learn about sustainable farming, to boot. It’s a great way to get some fresh air and exercise, meet interesting people, and experience what organic farming is about in the new millennium.

Finally, after a odd New England winter, we're re-entering the gardens and gearing up for another great season. Join us for any and all of the volunteer workdays/events listed below, or get involved individually (or with a group) by contacting Mel Shapiro at volunteer@cultivatingcommunity.us or by calling 207.761.4769 We welcome individuals and groups interested in volunteering to contact us year round, and we are especially likely to have many volunteer opportunities from early spring through the end of the growing season. We are very happy to arrange volunteer experiences around the volunteers' schedule, or one could join us for a planned volunteer day.
Upcoming Volunteer Work Days:
Attendence to events is open to the public. For volunteer questions and inquiries, please contact Cultivating Community Volunteer Coordinator, Mel Shapiro: |
